A message from Karl K4HBM – Hurricane Isaias

Hurricane Isaias become a tropical storm early yesterday and is now heading out side the Florida area. It is predicted to weaken further an increase in speed. Because it no longer threatens Florida, the Section will move to the standing down phase.

I would like to thank all that participated and stood ready to activate in case needed. Please thank your volunteers for standing ready to assist.

Thank you Duval , Clay, St. John, Flagler and Volusia counties that kept me up-to-date with daily Situation reports by email and phone. This helps tremendously when considering the next decision.

Remember, this is just the beginning of the busiest time of the season. We still have three very active months left.

Thank you and be safe.
